LGDBC Teams with Giorgio Armani for Makeover Event

Giorgio Armani believes both his clothing and cosmetics are about enhancing, rather than masking, a woman’s features. Forty HBS students experienced this first-hand in a recent makeover event sponsored by the Luxury Goods and Design Business (LGDBC) and Giorgio Armani Cosmetics.

Five makeup artists transformed the One Western Common Room into a glamour fest as they set up shop to conduct 30-minute makeovers for members of the LGDBC club. Each of the students received makeovers, product consultations and product giveaways.

One of the makeover recipients, Victoria Yen (NI), was worried about getting a makeover because she had a date that night. Victoria said, “After the Armani makeover, I realized that I shouldn’t have been concerned at all,” adding, “The products are amazing, the color palettes were perfect, and I just felt so beautiful. My date thought so, too.”

Christina Eng (OH), Co-President of the LGDBC club was also pleased with the event. “The professional makeup-artist staff created elegant and natural looks and offered advice to students on which products and application methods work best for them,” Eng remarked. “All the students I saw walked out of the event looking absolutely fabulous!”
