NF proved to be up for the challenge as they defeated OF in a tight game in Men’s IM Basketball A league play Monday afternoon. Frog fans would have been proud of the hard fought game, which displayed tough defense and aggressive moves to the basket by both teams. Even though OF jumped on that &(#$zz and had NF under a mountain of points by halftime, Scott Ferguson and Pete Sisitsky came up on some knowledge early in the second half and had NF within a shot of taking the lead down the stretch. With 32 seconds left in the game and the score knotted up at 38 a piece, OF had possession of the ball, it looked like OF would win. However, Guyan Randall and Lee Rivas of NF were able to force a turnover with 14 seconds left in the game. As Karim Hutson crossed the half court with 9 seconds left, the New Frogs spread the court allowing Hutson to drive to the basket breaking two defenders’ ankles and finishing off OF with a game winning shot in the paint.
